The father and stepmother of “Queen of Tears” star Kim Soo-hyun held their wedding ceremony in Seoul on April 13.
Korean media outlet The Fact reported that singer Kim Chung-hoon, who is Kim Soo-hyun’s dad, and his wife, named Ahn, had a quiet wedding ceremony in Gangnam.

Although the two have been married for a long time, they held their wedding ceremony only now.
During the wedding, Kim Chung-hoon, who is in his 60s, was asked why he was having his wedding now.
He replied, “I am grateful to the person who always stayed by my side and supported me during difficult times when I was unknown. It’s late, but I really wanted to put a veil on her.”
Kim Chung-hoon and Kim Soo-hyun’s mom divorced when he was young. Kim Soo-hyun was raised by his mother after the divorce.
Another news report stated that at the time, Kim Chung-hoon was known to have become estranged from his wife while traveling around South Korea to make a living. This resulted in a divorce.
His father remarried. Kim Chung-hoon’s daughter, singer Kim Ju-na, who participated in the audition show “Produce 101” in 2016, is Kim Soo-hyun’s half-sister.

Kim Chung-hoon worked as a lead vocalist of the 80s rock band Seven Dolphins. After his solo debut, he has been active as a trot singer.
The report stated that two kept the wedding ceremony completely secret, informing only close acquaintances. According to close associates, they were wary of the possibility that if the marriage was announced in advance and guests flocked to the wedding, other family members, including Kim Soo-hyun, who is currently receiving a lot of attention due to “Queen of Tears, would be harmed by the announcement.
Kim Soo-hyun did not attend the wedding ceremony. Kim Chung-hoon and Kim Soo-hyun have a reputation for having very special communication between father and son, the report added.
Kim Chung-hoon had planned a quiet wedding from the beginning. At the wedding, only a few singers who were close friends attended the ceremony.
